What You’ll Do – Be the vital piece of the puzzle that connects us to the millions of businesses that need our help to evolve.
The Functional Expert is responsible for the delivery of consulting services related to our FLEXCUBE core banking suite of products.

You will work directly with client’s core business team to ensure focus on business case objectives, leveraging best practice processes across the solution set, and scope management. This role also involves developing practical and creative solutions in a way that solves business problem. Facilitates workshops with clients to deliver a clear specification of the customer’s business requirements and a business-justified solution. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.
Demonstrates expertise to deliver detailed functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. May lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget. May act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of less experienced team members. Effectively consults with management of customer organizations.

He/she has in depth experience and knows how to engage in IT products engagements with strategic customers in the Financial Services industry (banks).

He/she will manage successfully the Customer Relationship during the delivery of consulting services for the implementation of Oracle (core) banking applications;

Has the responsibility to understand the clients’ banking functional requirements and translate them into FLEXCUBE product fitment. Will be in-charge of defining the functional architecture in the projects.

Required Skills/Experience

Primary skills

Solid functional knowledge in banking. Expertise in Middle East regional banking requirements is highly desirable.

Previous experience managing banking software implementation projects – should have handled at least 3 complex projects as Functional Lead.

Banking functional (Conventional and/or Islamic) expertise

Multi-stream capability – should have functional expertise in at least two of the following: Retail, Corporate, Treasury, Trade Finance, Channels.

Should have very good experience in handling data migration from legacy systems.

Fluent Arabic and English speaker

Capabilities to manage customer relationships and solve independently customer escalations in consulting delivery cycles

Excellent inter-personnel skills

Oracle is now able to leverage both its cloud technology offerings and its loyal customer installed base, to rapidly increase our market share.
One of the scenarios presenting the highest potential is for customers to make a strategic commitment to adopt the Oracle cloud ‘platform’ for the majority of its (Oracle) existing and its new (to be) workloads. This is in contrast to just winning ‘a workload, one workload at a time’.
The Win the Platform (WTP) programme is designed to focus our attention, pace, selling methods, skills, and dedicated resources on these Technology Major Accounts. It is also, crucially, to ensure that x-lob teams work in unison and in collaboration on a shared account (win) plan.
The WTP programme will be managed at EMEA level, reporting into EVP EMEA. The WTP Programme Technical Leader will be supported by 4 Regional leaders (West, South, MEA, and North-East).

Key Responsibilities

The WTP Leader will be responsible for producing mutually rewarding business outcomes and customer satisfaction for Oracle customers within a set territory. The ideal candidate will generate business plans that fulfil the organization’s strategies, and closely monitor and measure activities, plans, and budgets to ensure desired outcomes.
In this role, you will ensure the success of the ‘Win the Platform’ initiative across the region, and will report to the Regional Technology Cloud SVP with a dotted line to the Regional VP for Technology Software and the EMEA VP WTP Programme Technical Leader.

The WTP success criteria is to:
1. Increase tech cloud consumption
2. Maximise bookings (cloud and/or software/systems)
3. Ensure customer success (through workable solutions that can be delivered)
The individual will drive WTP activity in their region (working closely with EMEA and Regional leadership), take personal accountability for WTP success, help resolve conflicts and disagreements between account teams (working across Cloud, Software, Systems, OCS/ACS etc) and have technical understanding of our solution portfolio, to understand customer choices. They must also have customer facing creditability and skills.
Finally, the successful candidate will constantly review the approaches and propositions being made by the account teams in the regional field teams, to understand what is working and can be improved with WTP, in region and across EMEA.

• A recognised (sales) leader, who has proven experience of orchestrating and aligning plans across teams who might have had differing priorities, to towards a single goal – ‘win the platform’ and thereby building a stronger strategic partnership with customers.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.
