To inspect, maintain, repair and perform preventative maintenance on all Mechanical Equipment & Plant. Conduct daily inspections of the property’s mechanical plant. Read, log, track, and interpret readings from meters, gauges, and other measuring units. Maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities. Monitor and inspect boiler equipment, computer terminals, switches, etc.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to Read and follow blueprints / schematics
  • Ability to assemble, install, test and troubleshoot Mechanical equipment
  • Good understanding of International & Local Mechanical Code
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Mechanical Tools and Instrumentation
  • Knowledge of Lock/Tag Out Protocol, OSHA and other Mechanical safety procedures
  • Understanding of maintenance inventory and requisition of parts and supplies as needed.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with guests and co-workers.

Education or Certification:

  • Minimum Technical, Trade or Vocational Certificate/Diploma or equivalent

SPECIFIC DUTIES

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

  • Inspect, repair, and maintain Mechanical equipment (e.g., boilers, pumps, water features, Linen chute etc)
  • Test and record boiler, condenser, and open/closed loop systems water quality and take any necessary corrective action such as adding chemicals to prevent corrosion and harmful deposits
  • Activate valves to maintain required amounts of water in boilers, to adjust supplies of combustion air, and to control the flow of fuel into burners
  • Carry out minor Plumbing & Mechanical works for Mechanical systems & Equipment, as required
  • Monitor and inspect Mechanical Plant/Equipment, switches, valves, gauges, alarms, safety devices, and meters to detect leaks or malfunctions, and to ensure that equipment is operating efficiently and safely
  • Maintain engineering area is safe, kept clean and in an orderly manner. Keep close coordination with other engineering staff for smooth operation.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training etc.
  • Assist in energy conservation programme, as assigned
  • Comply with hotel and corporate LSOP’s and SOP’s.
  • To attend all safety and fire training and adhere to safety instructions at work to prevent any accidents.
  • Document all work performed and any spares used.
  • Serve as an active member of hotel emergency response team.
  • Carry out any requests asked of you by your immediate supervisor.
  • Take active role in the TQM process.
  • To ensure that you maintain a high level of hospitality and guest concern. Practice at all times “Empowerment” and do whatever it takes to satisfy the guest.

As a Performance Marketing Executive at Deriv, you’ll build effective multi-channel marketing strategies and manage marketing campaigns for our web and mobile platforms. Your challenges

 Job Description

• Ability to read and follow drawings, method statements, and specifications.
• Managing projects within the established scope, schedule, and budget while meeting or surpassing standards of quality.
• Mandatory UAE experience with good knowledge in Interior Fit-Out and Architectural Products
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
• Ensure site complies with guidelines of health and safety and security.
• Verifying the technical aspect of quotes received from vendors.
• managing the interior designs and processing as per the design
• Coordination between client, site, sub-contractors & suppliers.
• Negotiation of prices with subcontractors & suppliers and various project stakeholders.
• Liaise with main and sub-contractors to ensure smooth completion of tasks and adherence to site regulations.
• Checking of invoices from sub-contractors based on the work done at the site and approve completion certificates
• Plan and organize resources in advance for the assigned site by daily preparation of labor schedule.
• Quality control of work done at the site.
• Contact the respective regulatory authorities to schedule inspection and comment on the completed fit-out works for the issuance of occupancy certificate.
• Observe the skills, attitude, attendance, etc. of the workforce and rate them monthly to improve their performance at the site.
• Closeout and hand over the project.
• Manage communication between all parties involved in the development, where appropriate
• Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.

• At least 5 years UAE experience in interior fit out
• Proven experience on retail projects of various scales in the UAE
