What is this Role About?

The Director Human Resources will provide overall HR leadership across Endress+Hauser International AG and be responsible for all aspects of HR strategy and its execution. As part of the Endress+Hauser International Management Team you will create value to the through partnership with the Managing Director, acting as a sparring partner for all HR and Organizational Development topics. Additionally, you are a member of the “HR Global Leadership Team” and thus also member of various sounding boards and working groups at Endress+Hauser Group level.

What will you be doing?

Implementing specific HR requirements and taking responsibility for organizational development of the International AG organization; with our HQ in Reinach (for Europe and Africa), in Dubai (for the Near and Middle East), Panama (for Latin America), Kazakhstan (for Central Asia) and Vietnam including the branches in the Philippines and Myanmar (for Asia-Pacific) with
Participation in the establishment of new country organizations, including Recruitment of key functions and steering of all HR issues in the start-up phase.
Direct management of two HR business partners (based in Reinach, CH) as well as four functionally subordinate employees in the four above mentioned regions
HR support of the Corporate Sales Director for the sales centers Endress+Hauser Middle East Support (Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates) and Endress+Hauser South Africa
Ensuring and further development of the HR process within the E+H International AG Group
Recruitment of local managers (executive and key functions) in all mentioned countries in cooperation with local headhunters and lawyers.
Responsibility for all HR processes, HR instruments as well as HR development measures for all employees of the E+H International AG Group.

What have you already Done?

University degree in Human Resources Management/Psychology and/or relevant business education (e.g. business administration).
English is a must, (Swiss) German is highly advantageous, additional languages desirable
10+ years’ experience as an international HR Business Leader including experience in facilitating OD / Change Management projects as well as Talent Management.
Demonstrated ability to develop and execute local and global HR strategy
Ability and experience in leading people

Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

Engineering experience on Instrumentation or Electrical or Mechanical Discipline
Create Procurement specifications and Technical Support for production
Cost controlling and reporting and Vendor document review and approval
Basic knowledge on equipment such as valves, vessels, pumps, etc…
CAD software related experience – Basic
Calculation of material requirements and technical specifications in accordance with local and international norms and standards.
Create, submit, review, change and approve engineering documentation (e.g. wiring diagrams, P&ID, GA drawings etc.)
Providing engineering documentation and Engineering document review and approval
Create and submit manufacturing data record and Power and control cable design and layout
Layout planning and detailed coordination/clarification of details
Definition of interfaces mechanical, electrical, instrumentation
Technical description of the processes, system description (Functional Design Specification, Bill of Material)
Engineering documentation (P&ID, GA Drawings, I/O wiring, electrical schematics, etc.)
Hardware as well as Software component specification ( Systems, PLC’s, Flowcomputers,etc..)
Configuration and dimensioning of instrumentation and control equipment
Quality assurance and quality control, set up of test and inspection data, FAT, SAT preparation and participation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Engineering in Instrumentation / Mechanical / Electrical.
Technical Experience & Thinking Level.
Experience in process automation.
Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Outlook necessary.
Experience in SAP.

Project Manager

Responsibilities:

Overall project planning, confirmation of Project Execution Plan, definition of the WBS (Work Break down Structure) and assigment of the Work packages. Definition of the RBS (Resources breakdown structure) and team set up in collaboration with HoD’s/LST.
Lead Project Kick off Meetings internally and with Customer.
To manage all the execution phases of project contracts from QG4 to QG6; ensuring they are completed in the most efficient manner according to the project specification, within the time required, within the budget, without risk to the health and safety of all concerned while ensuring good customer satisfaction.
Planning, coordination, control and reporting of required project activities: scope and contract management, project quality management, resource management, risk management, cost controlling, project planning and scheduling, change management.
Project Planning Tools, Gantt charts – example MS project planning
Responsible of specific project KPI’s (on time delivery, baseline margin fulfillment etc.).
Is authorized to take decisions to achieve project targets and customer satisfaction. Reports and escalate internally for significative issues.
Supervision of the WP’s assigned to Engineering and production team. Cooperation with Project Engineering Managers and Purchaser for taking critical decisions having significant impact on the project targets (cost, schedule, quality).
Partecipate in Design Reviews meetings and Lead Contract Review Meetings.
Define the Logistic Plan in cooperation with EPT and Project Administrator.
Cooperate with project administrator for execution of Logistic, shipping docs, Invoicing, contractual secutities (letter of credit, bank guarantees etc.).
Is responsible to define the time for Net Sales in accordance with Contract, internal rules and in cooperation with Project Administrator. Set the necessary provisions/accruals with Controlling dept.
Is responsible to make sure that all payments are received as per contract.
Is responsible to make the financial close out of the Project in cooperation with Controlling department.
Cooperate with Service for certain WP’s and provide support during Warranty period.
For certain standardized solutions projects may act as PEM (Project Engineering manager) or PE (Project engineer). See relevant Job Descriptions.
Consults with Head of Project Operations for best practices and guidance.
Responsible to enter projects and baseline data in XFDX (Execution Force) and to maintain data during all project execution.
Partecipate to aligment meetings and portfolio management with other PM’s in the SBU.
Use and improvement of E+H I.I. standards, work processes, document templates and tools for project management, controlling and reporting.
Assistance to Project Acquisition with participation in Bid strategy meetings, Bid clarification meetings, Contract review meetings. May also assist for certain WP’s of Bid preparation.
Cooperation and coordination with other organizations and teams within E+H I.I. and E+H, project teams and business partners.
All activities to comply with company standards, procedures and work instructions.
Other activities as reasonably requested from time to time in the course of E+H I.I. work.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Engineering or higher like 2 years Diploma.
Technical Experience & Thinking Level.
Experience within international project business, contract management, project management.
Experience in process automation.
Experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS Outlook necessary.
Project Management certification is appreciated.

Position Description + Responsibilities

  • Delivers agreed business targets for Entire analytical products portfolio’s with in Endress+Hauser range for complete Middle east region,
  • Work closely with area managers of our Production centers for analyzers to meet their goals and targets for the region.
  • Ensures detailed business/sales plans are in place with regular follow up.
  • Drives the growth of the top line in assigned industry and product portfolio’s segments with networking in direct sales channel and representatives in the region.
  • Interprets the Global & Regional industry segment strategy for the analytical offering to meet Countries requirements and implements with country specific action plans in conjunction with Sales Centers.
  • Implements Sales Channel market development activities such as joint customer visits, technical presentations, and support all the exhibitions / conferences associated with marketing plans.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships at analytical, quality, and environmental departments of all the industry segments senior levels with the key stakeholders.
  • Train, educate and develop local internal and external sales team members on products / applications and maintains a long-term plan for having the desired competency level in the region.
  • Identify the major project opportunities and ensure that it entered into salesforce for further follow ups and monitoring the progresses.
  • Maintain opportunity funnel/forecast for the complete region, report monthly progress of sales numbers and action plans to bridge the gap.
  • Time to time Provide input to Product Marketing, Engineering and Development teams to help come out with new products that reflect market trends and customer needs.

Qualification + Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is must with either one of the following stream Instrumentation, electronics, and chemical engineering. MBA is an added advantage for the business environment.
  • Min of 15 years’ experience considered in the field of online Analyzers. Should be an effective team player, high ability to understand the problems and provide solutions, Strong in specification influencing for Analyzers.
  • Sound technical skills with strong communication ability and well exposure in working with multicultural client’s environment at EPC’s, PMC’s and End users. Good exposure in Design of Sampling system for analyzers, Sizing calculations of various sample length, lag time, bypass flow, sample pressure and temp controls accessories.
  • Adherent to Middle East working atmospheres like products approvals, documentations, Proposals, Engineering and Execution methodologies.
  • Good listener to understand the end user’s requirements and very knowledgeable to provide solutions and have better experience to implement and succeed.
  • Industries Knowledge and analytical applications in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power & Desalination and Water/Wastewater are essential.
  • Should have experiences and very familiar in analytical technologies and terminologies such as Electrochemical sensors, Optical sensors, Photometer techniques, wet chemical analyzers, Spectroscopy products like TDLAS and Raman technologies.
  • Working knowledge in service and projects during career startup would be an added advantage for this position.
  • Exposure in SWAS, WQAS, WQEMS, application knowledge in gas processing and LNG conversion are key success factors for this role.
  • Creating the new concept according to the local market needs such as bundling, packaging and standardizations knowledge and previous success are essential.
