DAL Mining Job Description

Procurement Officer

Support procurement operations throughout the organization, by procuring or assisting users to procure the required supplies in the most efficient manner, at the right time, quality, quantity and price, while managing suppliers

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Procurement

  • Receiving and verifying purchase requisition from different departments.
  • To follow up and ensure application of all internal procurement processes and procedures.
  • Purchase order initiation, verification (price, quality, and quantity comparison).
  • Responsibility of all supplier management aspects and supplier verification.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly spend reports and spend analysis.
  • Open PO’s follow-up and reporting.
  • Handle tendering process for all over threshold purchases.
  • Follow up with external vendors on goods delivery from source to destination.
  • Follow up with Logistics department on all logistics and transportation aspects.
  • Any other tasks assigned by head of department.

HSE

  • Able to comply adapt and manage suppliers to comply with local and organizational safety standards.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

Qualification:

  • B.Sc. in Business Admin, Economics or any other related field.

Experience :

  • 3 Years experience in procurement

Required Skills & Knowledge:

  • Negotiations and commercial capabilities.
  • Has a customer oriented mindset and can work under pressure
  • Strong negotiation skills, and supplier management.
  • ERP, Microsoft applications and analysis skills.

Position summary:

Assist the Logistics Officer to Accelerate of all logistics (customs clearance, freight and inland transportation), operations to ensure smooth operations support throughout the supply chain department.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Administrative:
    • Receive, review and sort Services Requisitions.
    • Verify or obtain confirmation that the requirements presented correspond to what was requested in terms of transportation service form, without any discrepancies or obvious quality defects.
    • Liaise with other departments and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with specifications.
    • Create the Delivery note and track for all transported items between company warehouses.
  • Financial:
    • Process and Check purchase (Services) orders, for accuracy, completeness and clarity, by verifying services information, shipping information, cost, payment and delivery terms are all correct before obtaining authorization to place an order.
    • Fill out Payment and Petty Cash Requests and add the amount as Misc. Charges on the System.
    • Obtain necessary approvals/signatures.
    • Prepare weekly payment plan & follow up with Finance and suppliers for collection.
  • Archive
    • Maintains Logistics documents in a systematic, retrievable manner.
    • Clerical and administrative tasks – data entry, record keeping, writing reports and processing of documentation – as per Logistics Officer request.
  • Inbound movement / Transportation:
    • Follow the equipment status, arrival in country and administer all shipment flow of information to ensure the timely receiving of equipment and all parties informed.
    • Provide best transportation prices and perform on-site customer deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Inland cost
    • Ensure all equipment in country logistical costs ( Handling , Transportation & Storing) in order to achieve a cost-effective operation.
  • Import/Export Shipments
    • Follow up with Customs agent on all import/export shipments and ensure Smooth coordination between procurement and warehouses.
    • Handle all operations related to equipment (import, clearance, re-export) and monitor equipment entry and withdrawal to insure timely delivery and receive the import certificates & check all equipment Details are correct to maintain proper documentations.
  • Insurance Management
    • Handle equipment insurance process & insurance claims, that will result in risk reduction.
  • HSE
    • Ensure strict compliance to all Company HSE policies and supplier management to ensure all equipment is in a good condition.
  • Delivery & Clearance Reports
    • Provide In Country Equipment Status report and equipment clearance reports in order to evaluate and analyze the cost as well as keeping the concerned departments informed

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Management, Economics or any other related field.
