VCO Commercial Coordinator, International Lubricants

Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of VCO Commercial Coordinator, International Lubricants located in DUO Tower, Singapore or Dubai ENOC House II through November 30, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

This is a regional position that plays a critical role optimizing the mid-term time horizon (~2-5 years) across all the lubricants value chain in the International Lubricants portfolio, including Greater China, Marine Lubricants, Middle East & Africa, Europe and Asia Pacific. The lubricants value chain span from base oil production/procurement to the customer. While working closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Sales & Marketing, Base Oils, Product Technology and Integrated Supply Chain, this role leads the development of the mid-term regional strategy and drives execution to maximize enterprise profitability. This role will also be the owner of the Lubricants equivalent of the enterprise PCP (Product Clearance Process) focused on ensuring value capture across the enterprise is considered to inform commercial decision-making via our sales channels.

This role will also support regional business development opportunities for both organic and inorganic growth. This position will serve as a key representative interfacing with our Joint Venture partner and drive aspirational idea generation and execution internally.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

•    Lead mid-term development and implementation of product placement strategies, infrastructure debottlenecking and benchmarked cost comparisons
•    Own the enterprise product clearance process considering all sources of value to inform commercial decisions
•    Financial analysis, review, proposal, and approval of commercial deals
•    Interface with Joint Venture on collaboration opportunities
•    Serve as the Value Chain Driver Coordinator (VDC) to spur idea generation and track execution

Required Qualifications

•    Commercial and business understanding of at least one component of the lubricants value chain (base oils, finished lubricants sales, marketing, etc.)
•    Knowledge of industry fundamentals, business drivers, and value chain economics
•    Strong financial acumen with analytical and problem solving capabilities
•    Clear and effective communication skills
•    Self-starter with proven ability to make commercial decisions and drive results
•    Demonstrated ability to build relationships globally and operate independently
•    Capability to influence without authority
•    Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study

Preferred Qualifications

•    Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the lubricants value chain
•    Demonstrated track record of developing and executing strategies

Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.

Real Estate Project Execution – Primary Responsible Person (“Project Manager”) for all Real Estate and Environmental Management projects. Work with Customers, CEMREC Portfolio Planning & Pre-Execution to arrive at cost effective and work efficient design/construction alternatives and solutions. Responsible for the planning and execution of projects and expense projects on time, on budget, and value delivered.

Operating & Capital Expenditure Management – Oversees all operations and maintenance aspects of budget, expenditures, customer satisfaction, and benchmarking activities. Accountable for preparing and executing operating budget, capital expenditure budget and recoveries for requirements within area.
