Job Purpose:
The HR Business Partner will serve as the strategic partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions. Ensure the effective “delivery” of all HR programs and services. Deliver HR results in the business, including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results. Establish, build and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from all Practice Areas and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles/responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.

Key Responsibilities Include:
•Establish, build, and maintain strong strategic business partnership with line management to provide a wide range of HR Support on employee issues, implement HR strategies and advise business leaders on best HR practices.
•Establish, build and maintain strong relationships with key HR partners from all Centers of Excellence and Service Centers to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles & responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.
•Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and Procedures.
•Assist in the diagnosis, development and delivery of HR strategies, programs and services that influence and drive the needs of the respective business. Utilize skills in data analysis and survey results analysis to help generate insights around talent, culture, and engagement.
•Manage HR projects, covering multi-disciplinary areas, including compensation and benefits, performance management, people management, employee relations and change management
•Act as ambassador of the HR organization to represent the services and resources available to the business and help manage the collective reputation of the HR organization.
•Champion AbbVie Ways of Working with leaders by modeling, educating and coaching on these behaviors
•Serve as an active member of the Culture team, identifying opportunities to improve our culture and employee engagement.
•Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
•Responsible for driving affiliate and functional wide projects to deliver on the HR strategic initiatives

Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree
•Minimum of 5 years of human resources experience, preferably in a business partner capacity with project management experience
•Experience in building and maintaining relationship with diverse client group and acting as a strategic partner and business advisor
•A team player who can also work independently
•Must have strong data and analytical skills
•Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
•Demonstrated success in workforce planning, performance management and/or talent management
•Working knowledge of local labor laws
•Significant breadth of understanding of functional HR roles and responsibilities and impact on the business

Job Title: Manager, Area Study Start Up (WEC and EEMEA)

Purpose: The Sr. Manager, Area Study Start Up is responsible and accountable for line-management, operational-management and career-development of WEC+EEMEA ASSUL Team, and ultimately for on-time, budget and quality delivery and execution of the start-up and maintenance activities of the assigned Clinical Development Operations managed pipeline within Area. The role reports into the Area SSU Head and serves as a single point of accountability across WEC and EEMEA Areas for the ASSUL team delivery and development.

Note: In WEC and EEMEA, ASSULs will report in through the Sr. Manager, Area Study Start Up, who reports to the Area SSU Head.

Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

Line manager for Area SSU Leads and responsible for their growth and development;
Accountable for managing resourcing, hiring, performance reviews and talent development for designated Area SSU staff;
Provide support and functional training on start up strategies, establishing country/site activation plans, start-up timelines, site profiles as well as risks assessment and mitigation planning for the Area;
Drive maintenance of country and site intelligence for assigned Area;
Provide Area start-up updates and metrics to Area Director, Area SSU Head, Global SSU Leads;
Lead Area quality management through risk-based thinking;
Drive a learning environment (best practice sharing, and lessons learned) and ensure continuous improvement in Area/country performance by using innovative approaches, active analysis of Key Risk and Performance Indicators, metrics, milestones, and benchmarking;
Manage identified risks to start-up through development of effective mitigation plans;
Ensure audit/inspection readiness at all times and compliance with corporate and divisional policies and procedures in alignment with worldwide regulations and guidelines;
Work collaboratively with the Area SSU Head and Area SSU COMs to:
Implement resourcing and training strategies in response to changes affecting Area, including effective organizational change management;
Deliver consistent best practice approach to onboarding (incl. for Country Start-up Specialists) and defining best practice training curriculum for the SSU roles;
Lead simplicity in process and approach, and enhance agility, including leading Area training and development of SOPs, job aids and work instructions in collaboration with other Area SSU-related roles;
Consolidate “lessons learned” across Areas and incorporating into SSU training materials;

Primary Objective

Qualifications

High level of negotiation skills and extensive record of negotiation success.
Experience in Eye Care products in UAE is a plus.
Strong Skills in Microsoft Office operations (PowerPoint, word, and Excel are a must).
